Having successfully completed her degree at University College London, Justine started her career of more than 20 years, in London, developing service provision for children in mainstream schools. She then provided specialist services across a number of Language Units.
In Perth Western Australia, she began work in a community clinic providing generalist speech therapy services through the hospital and child development centre. Justine also provided clinical supervision for Curtin University students on clinical placements.
Following the birth of her eldest child, Justine started work in a private speech therapy practice which she later bought. This developed into a large practice servicing all areas of Perth, Western Australia. This practice provided specialist services for children with communication difficulties and also therapy, screening and professional development to schools.
In latter years, having developed advanced skills for the treatment of language and literacy disorders, Justine has focused more specifically on developing specialist skills for the treatment of speech difficulty in children. Ongoing training means that Justine provides PROMPT therapy which is a highly effective treatment for children with speech production, motor speech difficulties and or Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
Justine is passionate about seeing children reach their speech, language, literacy and communication potential.
Justine has over twenty years experience in providing speech and language therapy to children from the age of two and above. She is passionate about giving every child the best possible treatment through creating a safe, playful environment. Assessment will be careful and thorough, and you will have plenty of time to discuss the outcome, ask questions and clarify future treatment programmes. Reports are also provided. All therapy sessions are tailored to meet your child's individual needs. Therapy will engage your child, ensure they have fun and allow them to find a sense of achievement and success in communication areas they have once found challenging.
Parent consultation / feedback sessions: 15 mins / week included in above consultation fee. Billed at hourly rate once exceeded.
Liaison with associated professionals: Mostly this is included in your therapy fee as it is an important part of developing an appropriate treatment programme. Telephone liaison longer than 15 mins will incur a fee of £15.
Please be mindful that once your appointment slot is assigned to you, it is not possible to assign this slot to another child. If you need to cancel or reschedule that is fine but Justine will require a minimum of 24 hours notice. Please contact Justine by email, text or leave a voicemail. In this way someone waiting for an assessment can be given an opportunity. If you are to miss a session without cancelling or provide too short a notice you will be required to pay in full for the missed session, (unless both parties agree that you were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control).
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance that covers ancillaries you are likely to be able to claim a portion of these fees back. To find out how much you will need to contact your health insurance provider directly.
Speech Therapists offer an open referral system which means anyone can contact the therapist and make an appointment. You will not require a referral from your GP or Paediatrician. We do also take referrals directly from associated health professionals but it is not essential If you as a parent want to start the ball rolling, the best thing to do is pick up the phone or email me with any questions that you might have.
Justine will help to determine whether speech and language assessment /therapy might benefit your child and will be able to give advice on the assessment process. There will be no charge for this initial telephone consultation.

Justine helped our son in so many ways. Not only was her expertise in PROMPT therapy a game changer but also the way she handled my son when he felt overwhelmed, defiant or plain cheeky was gorgeous. She has such a talent for engaging kids – most of the time my son didn’t even realised he was ‘working’! I would highly recommend Justine for all her professional experience, warmth and approachable nature with both children and adults alike. Words cannot express how thankful our family are for all her expertise and support.
When Justine first met out son he was a monosyllabic three year old with a bull like resistance to speech therapy. It wasn’t long before Justine’s appointments were the highlight of Sam’s week. She not only attended to Sam’s speech but helped to support us in getting other forms of support for him. If it wasn’t for Justine’s expertise and perseverance, Sam wouldn’t be functioning so confidently in and out of school some four years later.
Dear Justine, Thank you for being so wonderful and caring for Damien the way you have we really appreciate everything you have done for him.
Dear Justine, I can’t thank you enough for all the wonderful work you have done with all of our family.
Dear Justine, Thank-you for all the hard work you have put into Irini’s speech over the past few years.
Dear Justine, You truly went above and beyond in your care for Sam and he has made such amazing progress.
