Shona Kelly
From an early age I knew that I wanted to work with children in some capacity and following a placement with a speech therapist while in my final year at school I realised what a varied, challenging and, ultimately, rewarding career being a speech therapist could provide.
My experience as a therapist has confirmed my expectations as I have come to realise how no two days are the same and that each child you meet brings something different and a new challenge to every therapy session.
Since graduating from UCL in 2009, I have experienced several working environments, including the NHS, research at the Institute of Education and the University of Strathclyde and now in independent practice.
My first love was with the pre-school age group working in the clinic and nurseries, but I have always had a specialist interest in motor speech disorders. My current caseload includes a range of clients including some with complex needs and specific motor speech disorders.

Nick Harris
I provide therapy for children who experience specific delays with their speech and language skills and children who may experience communication difficulties as part of a profile of additional/complex needs (e.g., Developmental Delay). I am committed to providing effective, individualised therapy which is supportive and has a positive impact on both children and their families.
Through my own circumstances, I am extremely passionate about promoting the speech, language and communication needs of all individuals. I strongly believe that therapy sessions should always be fun and motivating for the child and be something they look forward to. I have a friendly, person-centred approach to ensure the communication needs of the children I work with are understood and I pride myself in my ability to help a child reach their full potential.
I love what I do and working with families to achieve improved speech and language, and ultimately build confidence, is the most rewarding job in the world.
